Junior Economist – Rio de Janeiro

HSE (demonstrate exemplarity, promote good HSE culture):

• Ensure compliance with TotalEnergies’ and Brazilian/International HSE policy, rules, regulations, and specifications.
• Contribute to continuous HSE performance improvement.

The employee shall perform his/her activities in compliance with the HSE Management System, aligned with One Maestro Principles and oriented to safeguard the integrity of people, the environment, and the company’s assets and reputation.

Economic Studies :

• Perform of economic evaluations and reporting in relation to recurrent planning exercises (LTP, ARRE, Budget) in close coordination with ECO-FIL economics team in HQ
• Carry out economic studies for ad-hoc development projects for both Operated Assets and OBO.
• To elaborate (along with HQ/ECO/MET and TotalEnergies Tax Department) economic methods (in and define their application mode.

Candidate profile

Education : Economist or Engineering Degree

Professional Experience : Minimum 3 years in the oil & gas industry as economist.

Technical Competencies : Advanced working level knowledge of TotalEnergies’ economic modeling practices and methodologies. Strong MS Excel proficiency and analytical skills are crucial. Knowledge of financial statements mechanisms and a high level of accounting knowledge is strongly recommended, as well as basic project financing. The position requires a good ability to understand the technical context of the petroleum business, and a strong ability to easily communicate often complex processes in a manner that facilitates decision making

Behavioral : Open minded and capacity to handle multiple subjects of different nature. Good communication skills. Capacity to represent TTPBR in technical committees with partners and in internal meetings and committees with HQ.

Other Competencies : Proficient in Portuguese and English. French is an asset in the actual work environment.
