Belford Roxo is located 40 km away from downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and work 450 people. Belford Roxo is a strategic Crop Science Filling, formulation, and packaging (FFP) site in LATAM fully dedicated to safely deliver high-quality crop protection solutions to our customers.

We produce fungicides, insecticides, and non-large herbicides mainly for the Brazilian agricultural market. The Quality team drives effective governance and continuous improvement in quality through capability building and expert advice, innovative and efficient standards to deliver business value – making a difference for the customer experience. The quality area is built by a quality control dedicated team and a quality management system team, together they secure high-quality product and standard processes.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

• Guarantee the Quality of all finished goods produced in Belford Roxo through a reliable analytical control of all production process (incoming control, formulation, filling and decontamination);
• Manage the processes of investigation concerning quality deviations, interdiction, falsifications, and external complaint involving packaging and finished goods;
• Lead through KPI management secure OnePss practices and Matrix X alignment within Quality team and site;
• Develop people and teams and promote diversity, equity and inclusion across the team;
• Ensure certification (ISO 9001 / ISO 14000 / ISO 45000) by adequate Management System;
• Support projects of product launches and new formulation components, assisting Regulatory team in the registration process, creating solutions of raw-materials and formulation, that guarantee finished goods in accordance with Legal requirements;
• Ensure the creation and maintenance of material information (Master Data, Specification, inspection plan) and Bill of Material of UVP. Maintain the correct quality status for all stock (raw material, packaging, final products, returns). Ensure that all components and recipes applied on the site are totally in accordance with regulatory;
• Support all audits plans and ensure that product and Quality Control related requirements are managed, participate in internal and external audits, especially related to tollers, raw material and packaging suppliers, as well as inspections of government agencies; be responsible for quality of product and regulatory issues;
• Ensure that Quality plan, programs, policies, procedures, standards, goal and objectives are fulfilled;
• Assure training and development of CropScience employees related to Quality process and product performance, according to their responsibilities, to improve overall Quality performance;
• Drive continuous improvement process related to materials, processes and finished product to further develop awareness of customer requirements, while incorporate market feedback and production challenges. Enable Product Supply System (PSS) implementation and other continuous improvement activities in order to improve process efficiency and optimize costs;
• Participate in HAZOP studies, Risk Analysis of new projects and management of changes (MoC) ensuring that quality and regulatory aspects are considered and aligned to global and local requirements;
• Participate in Global and Regional Quality communities in order to assure alignment inside the organization and knowledge exchange that enable successful delivery of strategies.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

• Graduated as Chemist, Industrial Chemical or Chemical Engineer;
• Strong experience in quality control or related areas;
• Experience in coaching and training individuals and teams in Agil concepts and new ways of working practices;
• Knowledge of agrochemical formulation, packaging and related legislation;
• Strong experience in leading roles;
• Broad experience in leading projects;
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, and Spanish is a plus;
• Ability to analyze complex situations and define solutions;
• Capable to communicate with authorities, experienced in auditing;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels;
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving objectives, including digital transformation goals.
